Callaway no longer manufactures the Superhot 55 golf balls. The company has moved on to newer models, and the Superhot 55 is now only available at select retailers, typically as limited stock. The Superhot line, including the 55 model, was popular for its low spin and distance-focused design, but it has been phased out in favor of more recent releases like the Supersoft and Chrome Soft lines, which offer better technology for various player needs

How The Callaway Superhot Golf Ball Performed

We were able to test the Callaway Superhot golf ball on a few different occasions.

The Feel

Feel is very important to me when it comes to a golf ball. I want a ball that feels good coming off the clubface and has a soft feel around the greens.

The Callaway Superhot golf ball did not disappoint in this department. It had a very solid feel of the driver and iron shots, which I liked.

And it also had a soft feel around the greens, which dramatically improved the greenside feel, a great bonus.

The Verdict: The Callaway Superhot golf ball gets high marks for feel. It’s a definite improvement over some of the other golf balls I’ve played in the past. In addition, the feel is significantly improved.

The Distance

Now, let’s talk about distance. Callaway claims that the Superhot golf ball will add yards to your drives. The Callaway Superhot Golf Ball is a distance ball.

It is designed to fly farther than other golf balls on the market.

And, I have to say that it lived up to the hype. I hit the ball noticeably further with the Superhot than I did with my other golf balls. It wasn’t a night-and-day difference, but it was definitely there.

The Verdict: The Callaway Superhot golf ball delivers on its promise of added distance. If you’re looking for a little more yardage off the tee, then this is the ball for you.

The Spin

As I mentioned earlier, the Callaway Superhot golf ball has been designed for players who want less spin.

The ball’s aerodynamics have been designed to promote less spin, which in theory should result in longer drives.

The lower spin should enable the ball the roll a long distance when it hits the ground. In addition, the greenside spin should also be reduced, which will help you hold the greens more.

The Verdict: The Callaway Superhot golf ball did reduce the spin on my drives. The greenside spin was reduced as well. I was still getting a fair roll after the ball hit the ground.

Compression

The Callaway Superhot golf ball has a compression of 70 and 55. The higher compression will give you more distance off the tee, while the lower compression will help with your control around the green.

The Verdict: I found that the Callaway Superhot golf ball had a good balance of distance and control. If you’re looking for a ball that has a good mix of both, then this is it.

Price

The Callaway Superhot golf ball comes in a 15 ball pack and is reasonably priced for the benefits it offers. Compared to other balls on the market, the Callaway Superhot is a great value.

The Verdict: The Callaway Superhot golf ball is an excellent value for the money. You’re getting a lot of bang for your buck with this ball.
