Bushnell Pro XE Rangefinder: Overview
The Bushnell Pro XE is a top-of-the-line golf rangefinder that comes with the latest range-finding technology. It’s known for its exceptional accuracy and crystal-clear display, allowing you to quickly and confidently read measurements.
One of the most notable features of this device is the Slope with Elements technology, which provides slope compensation by taking into account slope, temperature, and barometric pressure.
The device is built with a durable and rugged design, making it suitable to use on the golf course or in other outdoor environments.
While the Pro XE Bushnell rangefinder is expensive, its advanced features make it worth the investment for serious golfers looking to improve their game.

Bushnell Pro XE Rangefinder: Features
The Bushnell Pro XE is one of the best golf rangefinders that we have tested so far. It comes with tons of features to make the process of learning your yardages (measuring the distance and accuracy of your shots) exceptionally easy.
Durability and Construction
The Bushnell Pro XE boasts a high-quality build that feels durable in the hand. Its ergonomic design and button placement make it easy to use right out of the box.
The exterior of the device is made of a rubber-like material that provides a good grip, even in wet conditions.
But what we loved about its construction is that it’s IPX7-rated waterproof. It means it can withstand being submerged in water up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes without leaking.
This feature ensures that it can handle wet conditions on the golf course or unexpected spills without any damage.

Magnification
The Pro XE golf laser rangefinder features 7x magnification which makes it easy to target objects from both large and short distances.
This magnification capability, combined with the visual jolt, allows for a clear and detailed view of your target, making it easy to lock onto the flagstick.
This way, you’ll have no doubt about the accuracy of your shots.
Range
From a minimum of 5 yards to a maximum of 1,300 yards, the Bushnell Pro XE can measure any distance.
While it may seem excessive to measure such long distances on a golf course, it allows the device to handle the most common golf distances with accuracy.
Even at the maximum range, the 7x magnification allows you to see your target clearly and hold the device steady enough to make an accurate measurement.
Elements Technology
The Bushnell Pro XE features the Elements technology that takes into account weather conditions, including barometric pressure and temperature, along with slope when calculating yardages.
First, it measures the line-of-sight distance and then subtracts or adds yardage for slope, pressure, and temperature.
It considers these factors because they can affect ball flight and the time it takes for the laser to bounce off the target and back to the device. Learn more about Elements technology here.
During our testing, we noticed that the Pro XE’s slope mode was calculating a few degrees higher than the other rangefinder we were using, at shorter distances.
However, it’s highly likely that the observed discrepancy in slope calculations was due to variations in weather conditions, rather than the difference in the slope technology’s performance.

Slope Switch
The Pro XE laser rangefinder comes with a slope switch, which allows you to turn the slope feature on or off as per the regulations set by the USGA.
It’s located on the left side of the device and has a red indicator that makes it easy for rules officials to determine whether the feature is in use or not.
What we didn’t like about the switch is that it’s quite small and feels slightly flimsy. It could be improved by making it larger and more robust, providing a more satisfying click sound when turning it on or off.
Focus Control
To provide you with a personalized viewing experience, the rangefinder comes with a focus control feature.
A small circular dial is located near the viewer, which you can turn to the left or right to adjust the focus for a clear and crisp image.
We have to mention that it’s not the best dial that we have tested in Bushnell rangefinders because it lacks a prominent control bump and requires a bit more pressure to turn.
Brightness Control
There’s also an easy-to-use brightness adjustment feature for the display in the lens. This allows for optimal visibility in different lighting conditions, with a high-brightness setting for sunny days and a lower setting for low-light conditions.
Pinseeker
Just like most Bushnell rangefinders the Pro XE also boasts a reliable Pin Seeker. It has been a staple in all range-finding devices offered by Bushnell for the past 5 years.
It uses both vibration and visual feedback to confirm that the distance displayed is to the flagstick, rather than a nearby obstacle such as a tree. This ensures accurate measurements for your shots.
Carrying Case
As mentioned already, the package of this rangefinder includes a sleek carrying case, perfect for protecting your investment when on the go.
The case is spacious and can hold not only the rangefinder but also a cleaning cloth and an extra battery for added convenience.
Although the product itself features durable construction, it’s always a good idea to store it properly after each round to ensure it stays in top condition.
Warranty
In order to ensure your product is free of defects in material and workmanship and to protect your investments, Bushnell offers a solid 2-year limited warranty against the Pro XE.
If any issues arise during this time, Bushnell will repair or replace the product as long as it is returned postage prepaid.
It’s worth noting that this warranty does not cover damages caused by improper handling, misuse, or maintenance/installation by non-authorized personnel.
So, it’s always good to take extra care of the product.
