Tour Edge Bazooka 370 Mens Review

The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 complete set for men, male seniors and teens is a reasonably priced set of clubs and bag.

What’s Included in the Men’s Complete Set

The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 Set for men comes with 12 golf clubs. The new club designs feature new shapes, with ultra-thin faces, and weight positioning providing more speed, making it easier to hit the sweet spot and improving ease of launch from any lie on the course, and in the process, adding more distance. No wonder the new design elements have made this a best-selling complete golf club set for the beginner or higher handicap player.

Available for either the right or left handed player, the Tour Edge Bazooka 370 Complete Box Set for men includes 12 clubs:

  • Driver – graphite uniflex
  • #3 Fairway Wood – graphite uniflex
  • #5 Fairway Wood – graphite uniflex

  • #6 Irons – steel uniflex

  • #9 Irons – steel uniflex

Driver and Fairway Woods

Driver in the tour edge bazooka 370 set

DRIVER

The 460cc club head is the largest size club head currently allowed by the USGA max. You may as well take advantage of the largest and most forgiving golf club head size you can.

Additional weight placed in the heel and toe areas of the sole gives this 460cc titanium matrix driver an optimized Center of Gravity. This new perimeter weighting and the driver’s new ultra-thin face improves forgiveness dramatically on off-center hits and provides a faster and higher launch off the face.

Players will enjoy an optimized center of gravity and a relatively high launch from the driver. The driver’s head is not adjustable, but it is set at 10.5 degrees, making it a fair amount of loft for golfers still new to the game.

The driver’s shaft is 44.5″, but there are +1″ shaft lengths available.

This Tour Edge Bazooka 370 is not the longest club we’ve ever hit, but it was relatively accurate. We see this as a good choice for those needing the extra forgiveness.

FAIRWAY WOODS #3 & #5

The oversized, low-profile stainless steel 15-degree for the #3 Fairway wood and 19-degree for the #5 fairway wood come in new shapes that feature a lower CG (center of gravity) so they are easier to hit, getting the ball quickly into the air from any lie.

In fact, we loved using them as an alternative to the driver on certain holes.

Out of the rough, the 4 hybrid or the 5 wood are forgiving enough that you won’t be penalized for having your drive land there.

Hybrid and Irons

Our test of the 7 iron in the tour edge bazooka 370 set

Instead of two hybrids, there is only one hybrid, the #4, included in the Tour Edge 370 Complete Set. It is designed to eliminate the hard-to-hit long iron. The 370’s forgiving #4, a 24-degree hybrid features an easy-to-hit stainless steel head with a low-profile design and a deeper CG.

The new larger design for the Bazooka 370 distance-based irons (#5 – #9) are more heel and toe weighted, providing a lower Center of Gravity for amplified ball flights. These stainless steel, cavity back irons have a large undercut cavity to produce a larger sweet spot helping to increased accuracy. You can expect they offer plenty of forgiveness when hit in the center of the face.

Do note that it is more difficult for most average to slow swing speed beginners to hit a 5 iron with ease. However, if you happen to have a little extra speed in your game, this 5-iron will likely be a club you enjoy.

Other than the 5 iron, which requires a little extra speed, the overall performance of these Tour Edge 370 golf irons was very consistent.

Wedge and Putter

testing the bazooka 370 putter

The sand wedge and pitching wedge in the Tour Edge Bazooka 370 set are designed to be forgiving and easy to use, making them ideal for beginners and high-handicap golfers. They promote high launch and consistent performance, but may lack the advanced spin and workability features sought by more experienced players. For those starting out or looking for a reliable and user-friendly set, these wedges are a solid choice. You might consider adding a lob wedge from another brand that offers high spin levels.

Sand Wedge (SW) The sand wedge in the Tour Edge Bazooka 370 set is designed with a pronounced leading edge and a wide sole to make bunker shots and short approaches easier. This club provides high launch and forgiveness, which is ideal for beginners and high-handicap golfers.

Pros:

  • Forgiveness: The wide sole helps prevent the club from digging into the sand, making bunker shots easier for beginners.
  • High Launch: The design promotes a high ball flight, which is beneficial for getting out of bunkers and other tricky lies. In windy conditions, the high launch can cause the ball to lose its line and accuracy.
  • Ease of Use: The pronounced leading edge helps with consistent contact, even in challenging conditions.

Spin Rates: The wedge might not provide the high spin rates that more advanced golfers look for in short game precision.

Pitching Wedge (PW) The pitching wedge in the Bazooka 370 set is designed for approach shots and shorter distances, providing a balance between distance and control. It has a cavity-back design for added forgiveness and a low center of gravity to help with higher launch angles.

Pros:

  • Forgiveness: The cavity-back design and perimeter weighting help reduce the impact of off-center hits, making the club more forgiving.
  • High Launch: The low center of gravity promotes a higher ball flight, aiding in soft landings on the green.
  • Consistency: Designed to provide consistent distance and accuracy for approach shots.

Cons:

  • Workability: The wedge might lack the workability that more experienced golfers seek for precise shot shaping.

Spin: Similar to the sand wedge, the pitching wedge might not generate as much spin as wedges designed for advanced players, limiting control on the greens

Putter The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 anser-style putter is a solid choice for beginners and high handicappers due to its balanced design, alignment aid, and forgiving nature. While it may not offer the advanced feel and features that experienced golfers might seek, it provides reliable performance and ease of use that can help improve putting accuracy and consistency for those still honing their skills

The putter with a classic anser-style head, a popular design due to its balance and simplicity is lightweight, making it easier to control and swing. It has a smooth face designed to provide a consistent roll and good feel.

Pros

  • Alignment Aid: The built-in alignment aid helps golfers line up their putts more accurately, which can be particularly helpful for beginners who are still developing their putting skills.
  • Balanced Feel: The heel-toe weighting of the anser-style putter gives it a balanced feel, which helps in maintaining a smooth and consistent stroke.
  • Forgiveness: The putter is designed to be forgiving on mishits, helping to reduce the impact of off-center strikes and improving overall putting performance.
  • Control: The lightweight design allows for better control over the putter, aiding in more precise strokes and improved accuracy on the green.

Cons

  • Feel and Feedback: While the putter provides good balance and control, it may lack the advanced feel and feedback that more experienced golfers prefer. The face insert can feel a bit thick, which might affect the tactile response during putts.
  • Advanced Features: The putter does not include some of the advanced features found in higher-end putters, such as milled faces or adjustable weights, which can offer enhanced performance for skilled players.

You may not keep this putter forever, but it’s a good start.

Golf Bag

The stand bag included with the Tour Edge Bazooka 370 men’s complete set is a well-designed, functional, and convenient accessory that complements the set. It is especially suited for golfers who walk the course, offering a lightweight, easy-to-carry solution with ample storage and organization features. For those seeking a reliable and user-friendly golf bag, this stand bag provides an excellent combination of practicality and durability.

The bag is constructed from durable materials to withstand regular use on the golf course. It is designed to be lightweight, making it easy to carry around the course. An 8-way divider top helps organize the clubs and prevents them from clattering against each other. This also makes it easier to select and replace clubs during a round.

The stand bag is equipped with five zippered pockets, providing ample storage for accessories, personal items, and golf essentials such as balls, tees, gloves, and rangefinders. It also includes a large garment pocket for extra clothing or rain gear. Additional features include a towel ring, umbrella holder, and a glove patch, adding to the convenience and functionality of the bag.

The bag includes a dual carry strap, designed to evenly distribute weight across the shoulders for comfortable carrying. This feature is particularly useful for golfers who prefer to walk the course.

The bag has a sturdy stand mechanism that allows it to stand upright on various terrains. This feature ensures easy access to clubs and keeps the bag stable when placed on the ground.

Tour Edge Bazooka 370 for Senior Men

The Tour Edge Bazooka 370 senior set includes lighter clubs and more flexible shafts, which are designed to accommodate the needs of senior golfers. The clubs are designed with features that enhance playability, forgiveness, and ease of use. The set comes with a deluxe cart bag for easy transport.

  • Driver – graphite uniflex with a 10.5° loft

  • Heel/Toe Putter
  • Lightweight stand bag
  • Head covers are included for the woods and hybrid.
  • Deluxe cart bag with 7 storage pockets including 2 large garment pockets, a towel ring and umbrella holder

The clubs are designed to minimize the impact of off-center hits. The low center of gravity and high launch design help get the ball airborne quickly.

The design of the driver, woods, and irons promotes a high ball flight, which is particularly beneficial for senior golfers who may have slower swing speeds.

The hybrid and woods provide versatility from various lies.

The clubs and bag are lightweight, reducing strain and making it easier for senior golfers to carry or transport their equipment.

tour edge bazooka 370 4 hybrid review

The major negative here is the 5 iron. It’s just hard for most average to slow swing speed beginners to hit a 5 iron with ease. If you have a little extra speed in your game this will not be an issue.

Pros

  • Very forgiving golf clubs
  • Includes two fairway woods for more versatility in the set
  • Impressive performance from the rough
  • Higher launching golf clubs
  • Regular and senior shaft options

Cons

  • 5 iron is a bit more difficult to hit than a 5 hybrid
  • Distance from this set is not quite as long as other options on the market
